Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Karen Leslie is a former professional Adagio dance artist and long time Las Vegas resident. She performed extensively worldwide, traveling to numerous countries and embracing many forms of international art.

⦁ While in Japan, she became enamored with the natural beauty of the many flowers and plants growing in the numerous gardens of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, inspiration she has incorporated into her jewelry designs.

⦁ Her travels to Tahiti opened the door to the treasures of the ocean. By combining the natural beauty of South Pacific Pearls and Shells with the elegance of Swarovski crystals and Precious Gemstones, her designer jewelry includes many original and eclectic pieces geared to suit individuals with a passion for the ocean and tropical destinations.

⦁ Her travels to European nations exposed her to fine art and sculpture, inspiring her to expand her art to include crystal sculptures. Over the years these crystal creations have graced numerous galleries and private homes.

⦁ In 1980, while still performing, she began designing her own costumes for the stage and over the years has mastered detailed bead and crystal work, expanding her art repertoire to include a line of dramatic, illuminated art to wear necklace/sculptures.

By creating Art to Wear in a variety of fashion venues, Karen has enjoyed working with Cirque du Soleil artists, creating jewelry and wardrobe accessories for numerous fashion and theatrical photo shoots.

Several of her International award-winning designs, both designer jewelry and sculpture have appeared in art and trade magazines worldwide.

Karen is delighted to announce that her Swarovski sculptures and a select collection of her Art to Wear Designer pieces are now on display at the Desert Valley Gallery in Tivoli Village, Summerlin. Her Swarovski Crystal Formula 1 cars were featured at Rocks Jewelry store in the MGM Grand Las Vegas and sold during the Formula 1 event. Special orders for commissioned pieces can be placed through the Jewelers flagship store.

Limited edition pieces from her Crystal, Organic and Precious Gemstone collections are presently available for purchase at Vasari Boutique in Tivoli Village, also located in Summerlin. Her Vintage Murano Glass Shell Pendant Collection is available for viewing in the LKC studio.
